Senior Partner David N. Njoroge,FCIArb on Citizen TV’s Daybreak:Panel Discussion on The Future of Dispute Resolution
Our Senior Partner, David Njoroge, Vice Chairperson of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (Kenya Branch) (CIArb-K), joined a panel on Citizen TV’s Daybreak on Wednesday, 30th September 2026, to discuss the Future of Dispute Resolution.
He appeared alongside Prof. Kenneth Mutuma, Chairperson, CIArb-K; Akoth Aluoch, Organizing Secretary, CIArb-K; Herman Omiti, Advocate; and Jacqueline Waihenya, Chairperson, Institute of Certified Secretaries.
The panel examined how arbitration, mediation and other alternative dispute resolution (ADR) mechanisms are reshaping access to justice in Kenya. They discussed the case for faster, more cost-effective and more accessible processes, and the need for well-trained practitioners, strong institutions and a culture that embraces ADR alongside the courts.
Throughout the interview, the panelists linked these themes to the TAKUKA 2026 Conference, organised by CIArb Kenya with the Africa Arbitration Association (AfAA). The conference was presented as a platform where practitioners, institutions, policymakers and young professionals will exchange ideas, strengthen ADR practice and help chart the direction of dispute resolution on the continent.
Together, the broadcast and the conference reflect a growing momentum. Kenya is positioning itself as a regional hub for arbitration and mediation, and professional bodies such as CIArb-K are central to building the skills, standards and ethics that sustain that standing.
At Njuguna & Njuguna Co. Advocates, we are proud to see our Senior Partner contribute to this national conversation, and we remain committed to guiding clients toward efficient, practical and lasting resolutions to their disputes.
